Located in a National Park and on the route to the Highlands,  4 Balvaig Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the spectacular surrounding countryside, visiting many places of interest and  doing a variety of outdoor activities.

You can walk from the back of the cottage up into the woods and follow the Rob Roy trail or from the front, go along Sustrans Cycle Route 7.  The village of Strathyre is within easy walking distance, with a shop and places to eat and drink.  The longer walk/cycle to Kingshouse to the north takes you to MHOR 84 cafe, bar and restaurant.

The cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are just over an hours drive away.

The smaller historic city of Stirling is less than an hour away.
